Our Fee

We believe in watching every penny of investment costs for our clients - including our own fee.

Our initial annual Strategy & Management fee is a maximum of 0.40% for all clients.*

Our Fee Explained

Our initial Strategy & Management Fee is based on the money you ask us to manage. This is a fixed fee. Most other firms base their fee on total assets under management (AUM). Fees based on assets under management move up and down with markets and are inherently unstable. Managers relying on such fees may charge more in order to protect themselves from a money-losing year. We believe that a fixed fee provides transparent, stable, and predictable fees for both manager and client.

Why Fees Matter

Fees and costs will reduce any amount of money you make on your investments over time. ***NOTE ADD CONTEXT, CHANGE GRAPH, AND TEXT.

This example compares two portfolios with these shared assumptions: starting portfolio size of $10,000,000, no additional contributions, no withdrawls, no service rate change, and an average 6% rate of return over a 30 year period. Portfolio A is billed 0.4% on contributions only (with our fee structure). Portfolio B is billed 1% on total assets under management.

The result, with these assumptions, is that Portfolio A (with our fee structure) earns $10,047,075(FIX) more than Portfolio B.**

  • Yes. You will likely pay a transaction fee to a broker-dealer when we buy and sell an investment for you. You will also likely pay fees to a broker-dealer or bank that will hold your assets (called “custody”). You will pay fees and costs whether you make or lose money on your investments. Fees and costs will reduce any amount of money you make on your investments over time.

Please see our Form ADV here for more.

  • If you open an account with us, either discretionary or non-discretionary, we will propose an initial annual fixed-dollar fee of up to 0.40% for our services, which will be payable quarterly in arrears. The fixed-dollar fee will be deducted from your account and reduce the value of your account. The amount paid to our firm does not vary based on the type of investments we select on your behalf and is payable even if we do not buy or sell securities during the billing period.

Our initial annual fixed-dollar fee may increase in future years.
